Rev. Dr. Heather Vais

Interim Minister

Rev. Dr. Heather Vais has been practicing ministry for 30 years serving in rural, downtown and suburban settings. While her passion is for ministry in the church, Heather has also taught a modular course in communication at Tyndale University. Her service to the broader church includes positions on boards and committees of the denomination, as well as serving as the moderator of the Presbytery of Oak Ridges and the chair of the Business Committee. On the national church level, Heather serves on the Church Doctrine Committee. Heather also spent many years as a member of the Board of Governors for Knox College as the chair of the Multiculturalism and executive committees.

Elder - Finance and Maintenance

Dorothy is a faithful elder who serves behind the scenes on the finance and maintenance committees, making sure the church’s ministries have a strong foundation to flourish. She sees her work not just as numbers and upkeep, but as a way of caring for the congregation—helping create safe, welcoming spaces where faith and fellowship can grow. Her dedication reflects both her love for God and her heart for people.

Her gentle spirit and steady presence have become a source of comfort and strength within our church family.

Jacqui serves as an elder with a passion for mission and outreach, helping the church extend Christ’s love beyond its walls. Jacqui’s leadership reflects her deep belief that faith is lived out in service, and she inspires others to join in making a difference.

Elder - Christian Education

Blossom serves as an elder with a special focus on Christian Education, supporting the growth of faith through Sunday School and Bible study. She is passionate about helping people of all ages deepen their understanding of Scripture and their walk with Christ. Whether guiding children in Sunday School, encouraging adults in study groups, or nurturing a love of learning across generations, Blossom’s leadership reflects her heart for discipleship and teaching.

Elder - Worship and Music

Alan serves as an elder with a passion for worship and music, helping to shape meaningful services that lift the congregation in praise. In addition to his committee work, he also serves as Session Clerk, bringing organization, care, and steady leadership to the business of the church. Whether supporting music, planning worship, or guiding session matters, Alan’s service reflects his deep commitment to both the spiritual and practical life of the congregation.
